LOCAL ARTIST MIRANDA HART - ART GALLERY SHOWING

Miranda grew up in the Nambucca Valley, and as a young child she loved art! Starting her drawing experience with horses Miranda took art classes through her High School years. By the time her HCS major works came around she had selected to draw three large horse portraits. It was at this time her love and enjoyment of animal drawing came to a screeching halt.

During the creation of her major works there were criteria to meet and strict guidelines to follow, meaning the artworks Miranda presented as her major works were not artworks from her heart, but more artworks she was scripted to draw. This was the start of the 15-year sabbatical from drawing.

It has only been in recent years Miranda decided to pick up her graphite pencils and start drawing again. After completing a picture of a Great Dane, Miranda decided to put it up on a Great Dane Facebook page she was a member of. This was the beginning of a whole new world for Miranda. Request after request for her to draw other people’s pets came rolling in. It was then Jasper Arts – Pet Portraits came to life. Since then, the graphite pencils haven’t left her hands.

With a little encouragement from her mother, Miranda has joined the Nambucca Valley Art Gallery and is having her very first Art Exhibition at the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre.

This exhibition will be running from the 1st April until the end of May 2024.

This is one Art Exhibition not to miss! You can personally meet and talk to Miranda as you look at her stunning artworks on display at the ‘Meet the Artist’ event held on the 6th April 2024 starting at 10am at the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre.

The Valley Hub is excited to share we will be doing a Podcast with Miranda in the coming weeks to talk about arts, pets, photography, crossfit and what is next for this talented Nambucca Valley icon!

AVI SECURITY SERVICING THE NAMBUCCA VALLEY!

AVI Security was founded in 2019 with the intention of bringing improvements to the regional security industry . After over ten years of experience working in Security, owner and founder, Cameron, could see in many regional areas the standards of security could be improved upon to meet the same offerings as the city regions.  It was with this motivation he founded AVI security, with the aim of bringing change to the current regional standards and to modernise the regional industry, in order for everyone in the regional areas to have the same piece of mind as those in the larger Metro areas.

AVI has partnered with Seniors Card to give a further 10% discount on services to those at a higher risk in the community.

Cameron told The Valley Hub, “We believe that everyone should be able to feel safe and secure in their homes and businesses. AVI stands for ADVANCED, VERSATILE, INTEGRATED,  we ensure that we use the latest technology available to us to provide the greatest level of services to our clients.”

“We are able to tailor our security services and packages to suit everyone in regional areas as well as cater to their budgets. It is to that end we work with each of our clients individually to ensure that we can integrate into their operations as seamlessly as possible.”

AVI provide a full range of security services including Alarm Systems, CCTV and offsite monitoring services in collaboration with a technical provider. This is in addition to Alarm Response, Patrols, Guards and Secure Logistics services.

AVI are your one-stop security service provider for regional areas between Coffs Harbour and Forster.

THE VALLEY HUB EDUCATION AND TRAINING

The Valley Hub team appreciates that what the Nambucca Valley needs more than ever, is a way to move forward with tangible action in our community sector. Our valley boasts a rich culture of volunteers and dedicated community service workers who have a desire to work sustainably and collaboratively for the betterment of our community. At The Valley Hub, we are passionate about creating these opportunities and developing methodologies that both honour the knowledge held by long-term volunteers and create innovative solutions to governance challenges.
Our community development consultants, Trudi Hayes and Penny Coulter, deliver governance workshops, one-on-one training, along with board support to not-for-profit and community organisations in the Nambucca Valley. Together, Trudi and Penny have developed significant resource packages, training programs, and upcoming events which provide niche knowledge and support to local organisations who are primed for the purpose of collaborative and innovative thinking. One such upcoming event is ‘Sociocracy and Dynamic Groups’ – a FREE learning event for community organisations. See flyer attached for further details.
If The Valley Hub can support governance in your organisation, connect with us today for an obligation-free chat.
