TRUE STORY: A collaborative exhibition by Edward Barnes & Chris Edwards

“True story” is the result of a 2-month art residency facilitated by Gumbaynggirr artist Chris Edwads with artist with disability Edward Barnes at Phoenix School of Arts.

“True Story is about sharing stories, Ed & I slowly started developing a relationship between the artwork we were creating and our personal stories, background & experiences. When we were deciding the exhibition name, we reflected on our last months working together and Edward said no one will believe us and I said but it’s a true story! Ed said yes, true story!” Said Chris Edwards.

The exhibition will showcase a collection of large paintings on canvas. A combination of Ed’s bold, imaginative style and Chris’ contemporary work, we are in for a treat. Hope to see you all there supporting this beautiful collaboration.
